Degrees and Education
Dr Chakravarty trained at Dacca Medical College. Then did a Ph.D at the University of Cambridge, U.K, as a member of Clare College based at the New Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The Cambridge work was based on purification of the Atrial natriuretic peptide . Then moved to Newcastle upon Hunter, Australia and undertook a further Ph.D at the University of Newcastle on the application of the natriuretic peptide. This was followed by completion of the fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physician in Gastroenterology. Undertook an extra year of training in Royal Northshore Hospital with Dr John Dowsett honing skills in ERCP. During this Journey, Dr Chakravarty has accumulated more than 35 publications in peer reviewed journals.

Experience
Dr. Chakravarty has undertaken in excess of sixty thousand endoscopy procedures including greater than five thousand ERCPs over the last 23 years.
